Christ the King School provides an excellent academic foundation in an atmosphere defined by the Catholic principles of respect, responsibility and recognition of each student's natural capacity for growth in faith, abilities and character.

The school was founded in 1937 by the Archiocese of Atlanta and staffed by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart.  Christ the King School has continued to serve the Atlanta community for 74 years.  Beginning with 60 students, the school today enrolls 565 students in grades Kindergarten through eight.  Christ the King School is led by an experienced administration, dedicated faculty and committed parents.

Guided by long- and short-term goals identified in its strategic plan, Christ the King School strives to anticipate and meet the challenges of providing a first class Catholic education.

At Christ the King School, education is a cooperative effort involving family, school and church designed to broaden and enrich a child's sense of identity and community.  The K-8 program fosters an appreciation of age-appropriate development, allowing students to develop into leaders and role models by recognizing the different gifts that each child contributes to the student body.  The school program fosters respect for authority, responsibility for one's actions, a desire to achieve one's potential, and appreciation of diversity.

The philosophy of Christ the King School is to equip the child with the necessary skills to help the child grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically, artistically, and sociallv within a Catholic/Christian environment.

The mission of Faith Lutheran Church and School is to connect people to Jesus!

Faith Lutheran Church and School seeks to train and produce students who will contribute in meaningful ways to society as intelligent, thoughtful, Christians. We believe challenging students academically and encouraging them to strive for excellence, in an environment where the Christian ethic and understanding permeates all elements of the school, will contribute to this effort.  Our curriculum follows the Biblical pattern of knowledge, understanding and wisdom.  We believe placing emphasis on mastering the basic subjects (knowledge), followed by training in critical thinking and reasoning skills (understanding), and teaching written and spoken rhetorical skills (wisdom) will produce more “complete” students.  Our vision is implemented daily and we take it seriously.

As Christians we are commanded to strive to make the world a better place.  At Faith Lutheran Church and School we believe producing students who achieve academic excellence and grow and mature with a thorough knowledge, understanding, and love for our Lord Jesus Christ will increase the likelihood that as adults they will be successful in life and contribute to society in meaningful ways.

College Prep. Life Ready.

Being prepared for college is important. But to be successful, today's students must be ready to face the challenges of life. That's the Pisgah difference. The essence of Mount Pisgah Christian School's mission is best described as: College Prep. Life Ready.

Pisgah provides a loving and nurturing environment where children are challenged and inspired to discover, explore, and pursue their God-given talents and abilities. Faculty members are committed to developing relationships that build trust and create a safe atmosphere where students can think, ask questions, and grow closer in their walk with God. Pisgah builds relationships and connections, partnering with families to help children discover inner talent and potential.

The Pisgah standard is high – excellence. The administration and faculty value the unique nature of each student and are dedicated to the academic success of each individual. Personalized instruction and one-on-one relationships between faculty and students are Pisgah trademarks. As other area schools dramatically increase class sizes, Pisgah maintains a personal approach to education.

The Advisement program guides students through the education process and produces dramatic results, initially in self-discovery and academic performance, and ultimately, in college acceptances and lifelong success. Pisgah has a remarkable record of 86% of last year's graduates accepted to their first college of choice.

Pisgah's innovative programs provide a multitude of choices with opportunities for travel, mission work, creative learning programs and exciting class offerings (examples include: Forensic Science, Introduction to Media Production, Sports Ethics, and Baroque Painting). State of the art technology in all instructional classrooms provides engaging hands-on experiences. iQuest offers condensed schedules for students who are pursuing a passion outside of the classroom (athletics, arts, etc.). Pisgah Pathfinders assists families needing before or after school care for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade.

With a comprehensive approach to learning, Pisgah reaches the whole child through mind, body, and spirit. The exceptional athletic and fine arts programs allow students to discover talents and build self-confidence. Impressive theater, choral, band and visual arts presentations provide excellent opportunities for students to express creativity. The brand new 33-acre Patriot Athletic Campus hosts exciting football, soccer, track, softball, and baseball games and the state of the art Powerhouse Strength and Conditioning Training Center gives Pisgah athletes a competitive edge.  Pisgah offers one of metro Atlanta's most comprehensive middle school athletic programs. In addition, the varsity and junior Patriot programs are led by award-winning coaches who are exceptionally qualified and dedicated.

Students experience true acceptance at Pisgah. From infants to high school seniors, Pisgah meets the needs of every child. Dedicated teachers have a passion for working with children, opening a new world before their eyes in the classroom, on the stage, on the playing field, in worship services, and in the local, national, and worldwide mission fields. Experience Pisgah and discover the difference when students are prepared for college and ready for life. Visit the school website: www.experiencepisgah.org. As an Episcopal school, students' spiritual growth remains an important part of our mission, working to inspire good citizenship, service to God and our community, and love and respect for oneself and others. St. Martin's is a Christian school with an Episcopal identity, but we educate children of many faiths.

Mission & Philosophy

Mission Statement

Westminster is a Christian, independent day school for boys and girls, which seeks to develop the whole person for college and for life through excellent education.

Philosophy

Westminster's founders envisioned a school community with its traditions and philosophy rooted in the Christian faith, and to this day, a Westminster education aspires to cultivate each student's distinctive God-given talents: to inform the mind, to develop the body, and to enlighten the spirit. Through a passionate, talented faculty, a rich and varied curriculum, and the blessing of excellent facilities, Westminster strives to help children in the journey toward maturity, marked by personal excellence, self-knowledge, responsible citizenship, and faith in God.

An excellent education engages the natural developmental stage of each child: the elementary student's joy of discovery, the junior high student's exuberant, dynamic growth, the high school student's emerging sense of purpose. Throughout their school experience, young people encounter opportunities to question, to reason, to express themselves, to discover and pursue a passion, to risk, and sometimes even to fail and to learn from that failure. Through a wide range of outstanding programs, Westminster students grow as healthy, balanced individuals and cultivate personal strengths as scholars, artists, athletes, leaders, and community servants. Through their classroom and extracurricular activities and a multitude of social interactions, they discover that knowledge about the world and their own character should be inseparable, and that knowing how to learn is as important as what one learns. A clear understanding of one's self contributes to responsible citizenship, whether that involves treating each other nicely on the playground, valuing the Honor Code, or respecting our mutual interdependence in a world of many races, creeds, and political views. Ultimately, this emphasis on character complements the students' spiritual maturation, as they learn that humble appreciation of God's bounty means respect for all creation. Westminster's commitment to the Christian faith is more formally advanced through biblical literacy in the curriculum and through an open and respectful inquiry about other faiths, as we intentionally and genuinely strive to model the love of Christ for all people.

Growing up into a whole, healthy, and accomplished young adult is a challenge and a joy, and the entire Westminster community seeks to support and celebrate students along their way. In the spirit of honoring Jesus Christ and his love for all children, we therefore offer this philosophy of education as a prayer: We pray that our students will prosper from and enjoy their journey, that they will mature into life-long learners and truth seekers, and that they will be good stewards, caring for and serving the world in accordance with Christ's example.
